RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To adopt & demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regard to HSSE requirements.

  • To ensure that latest digital and carbon footprint reduction initiatives are studied and implemented if possible.
  • Review the preparation of the Commissioning for systems which he is in charge of. This includes:
    • procedures, reporting tools (ICAPS, planning, punch list control), requisition for equipment, spares, special tools and review of the Commissioning Dossier with particular attention to Operational Test Procedures.
    • System / Sub System preparation, Start Up and Commissioning sequence.
  • Ensure adequate involvement of Field Operations in Commissioning documentation review.
  • To provide assistance to the Contractor during the detailed preparation of the Commissioning planning, in order to optimize the schedule by maximizing the Commissioning activities to a minimum.
  • To assist the Commissioning Manager in identifying and addressing all internal/external interface issues with respect to Commissioning.
  • Throughout the preparation phase, liaise with corresponding Area engineers.
  • To promote HSE behavior within the commissioning activities and verify that HSE procedures are implemented by Commissioning Team.
  • To witness the pre-commissioning activities performed by Contractor and ensure systems have reached the RFC status with associated punch list.
  • To define, with Commissioning Manager, Commissioning specialist supervision/execution needs.
  • To ensure progress (from ICAPS database) is in accordance with priorities defined in the Commissioning and Start-up sequence in order to reach the planned end date.
  • To monitor and follow-up the execution of commissioning (including attendance to FATs at manufacturers’ premises) to achieve maximum productivity, minimize cost and achieve smooth handover.
  • To validate the results of the operational tests for systems he is in charge of, ensuring adequate involvement of Field Operations.
  • To co-ordinate Field Operations witnessing and assist in Handover preparation.
  • To ensure together with the ICAPS coordinator the correct update of the Commissioning dossiers for the systems he has been assigned.
  • To follow-up and approve punch list items entry / clearance.
  • To prepare and supervise the material / spares / tools / first fill status during Commissioning.
  • To ensure optimal vendor intervention planning.
  • To be responsible for PID’s conformity checks (“as commissioned” documents) for all systems he is in charge of).
  • To ensure that adequate care and maintenance/preservation and operation of equipment are carried out until handover to Field Operations.
  • Controls Commissioning activities and identifies priorities to meet systems AOC status as per schedule for the systems he is in charge of.
  • To ensure Vendor’s recommendation for preservation procedures are applied and followed via CTR tool.
  • To ensure Vendor’s/equipment/package punch list coordination and input into ICAPS.
  • To be kept informed of Contractual Company Requirements and international standards related to his area of responsibility, taking knowledge from them to application to the Project.
  • To follow-up the execution of piping commissioning activities, ensuring that Company requirements are fulfilled within Contractor’s standards, in accordance with the principles of OPERCOM methodology.
  • To witness selected Pre-commissioning activities performed by the Contractor and to monitor that the piping systems have reached the Ready for Commissioning status with the associated punch list and certificate before proceeding with commissioning activities; to review the pre-commissioning/RFC dossiers and to sign off the preliminary checks (PRC).
  • To witness selected Commissioning activities performed by the Contractor and to monitor that the piping has reached the Achievement of Commissioning status with the associated punch list before Contractor submits the relevant certificate.
  • To monitor the Flange Management processes with the objective of successful Leak Tests.
  • To follow-up the preparation and execution of commissioning piping procedures (drying-out, inerting, leak test packs, chemical loading etc.) and the requisition for material, equipment, consumables, spare parts and first fill related to piping matters.
  • To witness the final flange alignment / pipe fit up on rotating equipment, swivel, and any other equipment which cannot accommodate stress from piping.
  • To follow-up the preparation and execution of commissioning leak testing activities.
  • To provide expertise and assistance for definition and implementation of temporary piping arrangements, as well as for filling/draining and other such operations required while commissioning. Be involved in the organization of the work and the team to get the job done with quality and avoid waste of time: manpower, logistic, tools, authorization, spare parts, documents etc.
  • To provide guidance and assistance to the Contractor during the preparation and execution of the Piping Commissioning.
  • To follow-up the status and updates of commissioning reference documents, including (ICAPS) Pre-commissioning status index and the Commissioning technical database, the RFC and AOC dossiers, certification, punch list control, planning, and relevant deliverables for all Piping equipment and activities.
  • To promote safety within the Commissioning activities and verify that safety procedures and permit to work systems are implemented by the Contractor Commissioning Team.
  • To monitor that adequate preservation of piping is implemented as planned before, during and after the commissioning activities.
  • To review all the Tie-In and prepare the Shutdown.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • Professional Experience (years): > 10 years in Commissioning / Field Operations activities.
  • Experience in similar position (years): At least 8 years of experience in similar position during project, relevant site experience in an onshore field
  • Experience as Shutdown Leader or equivalent is a plus
  • Knowledgeable of TOTAL rules and specifications
  • Knowledgeable of OPERCOM and ICAPS
  • Knowledgeable of Engineering, Construction, Hook-up/commissioning and Start Up
  • Piping Pre-commissioning acceptance
  • Piping Commissioning Execution and Supervision
  • Piping Preservation
  • Flange Management
  • Nitrogen-Helium Leak Testing
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English
