Summary
The Country Management Office Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing Acuity International’s operations within Iraq and in support of the Iraqi F-16 Program. The CMO Operations Manager’s role is multifaceted and requires a blend of strategic planning, leadership, and operational management to ensure the Company’s goals are aligned with providing strategic oversight and comprehensive management of all operations. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, this role includes direct supervision of the Country Management Office, ensuring that contract deliverables are consistently met. This position is crucial in supporting the Company’s Executive Leadership and Project Manager in achieving and surpassing program objectives. Actively support and uphold the Company’s stated vision, mission, and values.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Overseeing the management and coordination of the required contract deliverables ensuring compliance.
- Develop and implement specific business strategies tailored to Iraq and aligned with global corporate goals. Set objectives, key performance indicators, and ensure that targets are met in all areas of business.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a cross-functional team. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee the Company’s budget, financial performance, and resource allocation. Ensure profitability and efficient management of operating costs.
- Identify new business opportunities, expand market share, collaborate with local partners, stakeholders and clients. Standards.
- Ensure adherence to local legal, regulatory, and business standards. Manage risks related to political, economic, and market factors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and external stakeholders to ensure business growth and success.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on business performance, challenges, and market conditions.
- Establish, maintain, and enhance unique professional relationships with the Contract Officer Representative (COR), U.S. Embassy Crisis Operations Cell, Office of Security Cooperation – Iraq (OSC-I), and other U.S. Government / U.S. Military organizations as required.
- Establish, maintain, and enhance unique professional relationships with our Erbil partners including, but not limited to U.S. Consulate, Erbil RSO, Erbil International Airport (EIA) officials, and vendors supporting the contract throughout Iraq.
Qualifications
- Four-year undergraduate degree from a U.S. accredited university or college.
- Verified experience with overseas contracts or international private business.
- Ten (10) years of progressive leadership, management experience in operations, obtained through overseas contracting or military / U.S. Government service.
- FMS/LOGCAP/Military management experience is required.
- Confidentiality and trustworthiness while working with proprietary and confidential information.
- Attention to detail; able to multitask independently and work in high stress work environment.
- Excellent communication, effective leadership, and interpersonal skills; dependability.
- Proficient knowledge of various computer applications (ex: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Verified experience with overseas contracts or international private business.
Preferred Qualifications
- Full understanding of information/operations center functions highly desirable.
- Work experience in hazardous and/or austere environments highly desirable.
- Ability to obtain and keep Security Clearance at the “Secret” level if required is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
- Ability to live and work in harsh climatic and austere living conditions to include the potential for moderate to extreme physical danger.
- Must be capable of working long hours, varying weather conditions and hazardous environments.
- Remain prepared for the possibility of relocation at short notice under adverse conditions.
- Must possess the physical endurance to manage extended periods of standing, walking, and potentially strenuous activities.
- Must be ready to respond to emergencies, including participating in evacuation or crisis management procedures as needed.
- Capable of adapting to changes in work conditions, including shifts in workload, tasks, and environmental factors.
