RESPONSIBILITIES

Wood is currently recruiting for Electrical Maintenance Engineer to strengthen our team in Basra, Iraq 5/2 daily work we are only considering applications from local Iraqi nationals preferably residing in Iraq, Basra

 

  • Experience in Preventative Electrical Maintenance
  • installation, inspection, repair of electrical equipment for hazardous (classified) areas.
  • Effective communicator – can understand and speak good level of English
  • Knowledge of oil and gas best practice safety and control of work processes
  • Manage electrical safety, use and application of electrical safety rules,
  • identification and mitigation of hazards in operation.
  • Identify and control the hazards associated with operation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment
  • apply or modify the electrical system operating philosophy
  • Interpret and apply the information contained in the various types of electrical drawings.
  • Apply Run and Maintain strategies for LV equipment (e.g., motors, lighting, heat tracing, switchgear, small transformers, UPS and batteries, generators)
  • Apply Run and Maintain strategies for HV equipment (e.g., motors, transformers, switchgear)
  • Issue weekly, monthly, and yearly reports detailing maintenance activities , and equipment reliability analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualifications / Degree in Electrical Engineering/ Equivalent
  • Minimum Experience / Minimum 5yrs Electrical Maintenance
  • Minimum Level / Lead Electrical Engineers
  • Professional Skills
