RESPONSIBILITIES
Wood is currently recruiting for Electrical Technician to strengthen our team in Basra, Iraq 14/14 rotation we are only considering applications from local Iraqi nationals preferably residing in Iraq, Basra
- Ensure compliance with the site safety rules and with all safety aspects in the execution of work.
- Complete field level risk assessments.
- Safely perform testing functions on the following
- medium voltage distribution systems
- low voltage distribution systems
- medium voltage switchgear and MCCs
- low voltage switchgear and MCCs
- medium voltage VFDs & motors
- lighting and small power
- UPS system
- low voltage VFDs motors and other loads
- heat tracing systems
- Follow and maintain standards of Quality in accordance with Quality System requirements.
- Completion of approved Main. check sheets.
- Assist vendor representatives and site operations in commissioning and startup (energization) activities for medium and low voltage electrical systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical Diploma/ 2-5 years of Experience,
- Literate in the use of standard computer software programs. Word, Excel, etc
- English Communication skills / Team player/ Time-Management / Adaptability / Willingness to learn.
- Understanding of Oil & Gas Process Operations, HSE practices and application in the field
