Brief description of the organization

Al-Mesalla.ORG for Human Resources Development is a non-governmental, non-profit civil society organization registered with both the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Iraqi Central Government. Since 2004, Al-Mesalla has been actively operating in Iraq, focusing on civil society empowerment, women’s rights, livelihoods, peace, and justice

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF CAPACITY BUILGING TRAINER:

  1. Developing contextualized training materials on monitoring, documenting, and reporting human rights violations, with a particular focus on compensation issues related to families of the missing persons in Nineveh
  2. Training material to be based on Iraqi laws and international standards concerning compensation rights.
  3. Using the materials developed to train 15 civil activists and advocates in a 3-days workshop on monitoring, documenting, and reporting human rights violations and challenges related to compensation.
  4. Continues the support through providing 3-5 follow-up, mentoring and coaching sessions for the training participants
  5. Utilize engaging and interactive methods to foster active participation and skill-building during training sessions.
  6. Assess participants’ progress through pre-and post-training evaluations and provide recommendations for further development.
  7. Submit a detailed training report, including content covered, participant feedback, and outcomes, to inform future capacity-building efforts.

 

Qualifications:

  • A university degree, preferably in a related field, is required.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the humanitarian, international law and women empowerment sectors.
  • Knowledge of standards and literature in human rights
  • Working experience with local counterparts (CSOs, local NGOs, and others) or managing consortiums of NGOs.
  • Previous experience in empowering capacity building and/or training programs for adults: development of training curriculum, training needs assessment.
  • Team working skills and proactive attitude
  • Excellent computer literacy skills Desirable requirements.
  • Written and spoken Arabic is required, English language is an added advantage (The training language will be in Arabic).
  • Previous experience in capacity-building programs for groups of adults related to the topics of incorporation of CSOs, not for profit Management, Accountability, Development, and Humanitarian Principles.
