JOB DESCRIPTION
Wood is currently recruiting for a PVV Supervisor (Piping, Valve, Vessel) (Iraqi local nationals only) this position, and work pattern is 4 weeks ON X 4 weeks OFF, we can only consider applications from local Iraqi nationals residing in Basra and surrounding areas..
The Phase 1 will restore, upgrade, and develop the current plant (CPF1) including: Restoration of initial CPF1 capacity; building a new export pipeline (24”, ~30km); restoration of CPF1 integrity and operability (dated 2008); flaring reduction by Q1/Q2 2026 and released water; development of new flowlines, pads, and electrification network for approximately 30 new wells; debottlenecking of the plant; upgrade of the Safety and Security facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate with site personnel and liaise on daily basis with COMPANY Site Superintendent,
- Oversee the contractor teams and material follow up,
- Participate to pre-job, planning, coordination and PTW meetings,
- Pro- active in site works preparation: Procedures, Job cards, Method of statement, Rigging Plan, permit to work…etc.
- Supervise site construction activities, meeting quality and safety requirements,
- Participate to the elaboration of 5 Weeks Look ahead Planning and liaise with Site Superintendent,
- Ensure that final documentation is updated to reflect site condition,
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including engineers, designers, and suppliers, to resolve any construction-related issues, attend technical survey request and ensure smooth project execution,
- Ensure that the selected contractor follows through with the works, both in their premises for pre-fabrication and on-site during construction.
- Supervise and mentor construction personnel, ensuring productivity and adherence to project timeline.
- Prepare, plan and coordinate and supervise operations in line with site superintendent,
- Ensure good coordination, and managed all interfaces with other discipline, the various entities involved in the project,
- Check the technical information provided by the Contractor and its consistency,
- Anticipate supplies for the smooth running of the site,
- Anticipate all potential problems, propose, if necessary, alternative “practical” solutions,
- Supervise pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, ensure mark-up documentation is reflecting the site condition, reporting of punch list and follow-up for completion, formalize handover dossier to FOPS.
- Establish the daily report (progress of work, number of people, highlights, etc.),
- Validate and follow the scheduled work for his perimeter and ensure tracking,
- Support / Substitute the Contractor when it becomes essential for the success of the Project,
- Maintain good relationships with contractors, displaying flexibility when needed while also enforcing necessary standards,
QUALIFICATIONS
- Mechanical degree in engineering, construction, or a related field. Minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry with significant experience in construction.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work under SIMOPS work conditions with respect of TEEPRH reference.
- Excellent knowledge of English language (Oral and written).
