Role Overview
The Sales Engineer plays a key role in driving business growth by identifying and converting potential clients. This position requires technical expertise in solar products, strong sales and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage customer relationships effectively. The role involves market research, lead generation, sales execution, and post-sales support while working closely with the Operations, Warehouse, and Marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Customer Outreach
- Identify and engage solar companies, retailers, distributors, and installers.
- Conduct market research and outreach to expand the customer base.
- Present ZMC’s solar product offerings to potential clients.
Sales Negotiation & Order Management
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and close sales deals.
- Process customer orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with Operations and Warehouse teams for inventory management.
Customer Support & Relationship Management
- Provide technical assistance on solar products.
- Respond to customer inquiries and offer after-sales support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and installers.
Market Research & Product Development
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and new technologies.
- Analyze customer feedback to improve product offerings.
Marketing & CRM Management
- Utilize CRM software to track sales and customer interactions.
- Develop promotional campaigns to enhance product visibility.
Financial & Supply Chain Coordination
- Assess customer creditworthiness and financial stability.
- Work with logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
Supervision & Reporting
Reports to: Operations Manager & Technically to Customer Service/Technical Engineer
Supervises: None
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of solar energy products and sales strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in sales, customer service, or supply chain in the solar industry.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales reporting tools.
- Ability to analyze market trends and customer behavior.
Languages
Fluency in Kurdish, Arabic, and English.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Solar Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
At least 1 year of experience in the solar industry or technical sales.
Other Requirements
Owning a car is preferred for ease of customer visits.
