Brief description of the organization

Al-Mesalla.ORG for Human Resources Development is a non-governmental, non-profit civil society organization registered with both the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Iraqi Central Government. Since 2004, Al-Mesalla has been actively operating in Iraq, focusing on civil society empowerment, women’s rights, livelihoods, peace, and justice

Background of the project:

This project aims to strengthen the voice of civil society in Iraq, focusing on protection of the environment and of civic freedoms. The project will work towards improving civil society capacities in planning and implementing strategic advocacy campaigns; improving coordination among civil society actors in central/southern Iraq, Iraqi Kurdistan (KRI) and international civil society; and improving civil society advocacy initiatives so as to ensure civil society’s effective contribution in preserving environment and civic freedoms in Iraq.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:

Take professional pictures in the base or on the work location

Work closely with staff and the beneficiaries to produce high-quality photographic images

Use different techniques to enhance the photographs as required

Designing a video during the project implementation from the beginning to the end of the project

Responsible for set up, development, maintenance and update of the website

Solving problems regarding operating systems and supported applications.

Replacing computer hardware as required

Perform and/or oversee software and application development, installation, and upgrades.

Instruct system users on operating systems, relational databases, and other applications; assist users in maximizing the use of networks and computing systems.

Create and maintain network documentation to include IP addresses, system access, email creation system, upgrades, and changes to original network, etc.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a photographer in a competitive field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexible to travel to locations as required of the job
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience from working as an IT/ Media Photographer
• Graduate of university in the field of Information Technology, Information Management or Computer Sciences.
• Experience with MS Office products and have basic knowledge of current technologies available in the IT environment
• Good working knowledge of Kurdish, Arabic and English
• Flexible and adaptable to any situation
