Job Summary:

The  Maintenance Engineer will manage and optimize the performance of mechanical equipment at Zakho site. The successful candidate will ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of all mechanical systems, directly contributing to the success of our ongoing agricultural projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections, identifying and resolving mechanical issues promptly.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of generators, pumps, motors, valves, and agricultural machinery.
• Analyze equipment performance and recommend enhancements or upgrades when needed.
• Collaborate with suppliers for the procurement of spare parts and maintenance tools.
• Lead, train, and supervise a team of technicians and operators.
• Ensure that maintenance staff adhere to safety protocols and operational standards.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching to enhance team capabilities.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions, implement corrective measures, and prevent recurring issues.
• Develop solutions to technical challenges affecting agricultural processes.
• Provide timely support during machinery breakdowns or unexpected disruptions.
• Track inventory levels of essential spare parts and maintenance supplies.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to secure critical materials without operational delays.
• Forecast resource needs and prepare procurement plans to support maintenance activities.
• Enforce company-wide safety standards in all maintenance operations.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and implement corrective measures where necessary.
• Promote a culture of safety through regular training and awareness sessions.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and operational adjustments.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on mechanical systems’ status and maintenance outcomes.
• Ensure documentation is audit-ready and compliant with industry regulations.
• Implement energy-saving practices to optimize equipment performance.
• Analyze energy consumption patterns and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Monitor maintenance budgets and propose improvements to reduce operational expenses.
• Serve as the primary point of contact during equipment-related emergencies.
• Develop and implement protocols for rapid response to mechanical failures.
• Conduct post-incident analyses and integrate findings into future maintenance strategies.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experiencein mechanical maintenance, preferably involving generators, water pumps, and large-scale maintenance operations.
• Fluency in Kurdish or Arabic Language, English communication is must
• Proficiency in Ms. Office and maintenance management software.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
• Excellent communication, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Working Conditions & Benefit Package:

• Working Days and Hours: 6 days per week, 8 hours per day + one hour lunch break
• Salary: $1000- $1300 USD per month
