Perform advanced and specialized accounting assignments, usually of highly involved and confidential nature. Obtain, analyze and consolidate required information, prepare reports, statements and recommendations. Assist the Comptroller and accounting staff on special studies and reports.

Supervises, directs, and reviews the work of the accounting staff (including, but not limited to, cash reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activity, payroll, accounts payable transactions, debt activity, recording of revenue and expenses, etc.). Develop an effective organizational structure for the Accounting Department and recommends modifications, which will result in better business services.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

The Accounting Manager is responsible for performing highly specialized accounting work required to maintain the Authority’s general ledger. Working under the direction of the Director of Finance, the Accounting Manager directs and coordinates the daily activities of the accounting staff to accurately, and quickly record the revenues, expenditures, assets, and liabilities of the company.
