Job Description: MAJOR FUNCTION

 

  • Monitor, review and approve (as required) EPC contractor relevant commissioning related deliverables and activities.
  • Reviews assigned commissioning and startup related activities on the project. Makes day-to-day decisions within assigned area or project and makes recommendations to department or project management regarding policy procedure.
  • Reviews and recommends changes to design so that the plant can be commissioned in a safe and operable manner.
  • Manages commissioning, start-up and initial operations project at the jobsite location and troubleshoots as needed.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNTION

  • Reviews assigned project commissioning, startup deliverables and activities and initial operations which may include review of design for plant operability, preparation of commissioning and startup procedures, operations manuals, coordination with construction during field check out and pre-commissioning and testing and execution of the startup in the field.
  • Supervises contractors plans and procedures for transitions from Construction (Area Based) Mechanical Completion (System/ Sub-system based) to System Completion
  • Reviews contractors commissioning and startup procedures
  • Advises Project Team of concerns and corrective actions
  • Provides input to project management, engineering, and construction to ensure commissioning and startup requirements are incorporated into project activities, including review of project designs and construction to ensure plant operability and operating personnel safety.
  • Coordinating planning and execution of assigned commissioning and startup activities facilitating safely achieving acceptance within the assigned budget and in accordance with the project master schedule
  • Liaise with other disciplines such to facilitate efficiently completing all commissioning tasks and commissioning dossiers
  • Participates in proposal preparation activities as required.
  • Manages assigned performance test runs
  • Perform continuous risk analysis of commissioning and start-up works
  • Coordinating the compilation of mechanical completion and commissioning dossiers

 

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in oil and gas industry
  • At least 10 years’ experience in engineering or technical management of gas processing facilities with an EPC Contractor and client organization
  • Good knowledge of the industrial context, contract practice and Oil & Gas operations in general.
  • Good sense of team spirit leadership, strong interpersonal & soft communication.
  • Fluent in English – verbal and written
