RESPONSIBILITIES
Wood is currently looking for Senior Completions & Workover Engineer to support our team in Iraq/Basra rotational 5×3
- Completion Support and skills
- Interpersonal skills to support mentoring and development of Iraqi national workforce
- Completion design for workover and new drill wells
- New technologies promotion and application
- WellWork Planning and Schedule
- Lead and coordinate rig and rigless scheduling meetings and work plans with Reservoir Team
- Attend daily WellWork Operations meetings to support on-going WellWork
- On-going communications with contractors to continually monitor and upgrade job program and execution
- Prepare monthly KPI report explaining the variance vs stewardship
- Completion equipment inventory tracking and forecast based on updated schedule
- Rig and Rigless Completion and Workover Programs
- Review/Approve contractors programs for rig and rigless operations that will accomplish work objectives safely and efficiently.
- Rig programs include running upper completion with tubing, packers, SCSSVs (safety valves), Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) and lower completion with multi-stage frac equipment, swell packers, LEL, etc.
- Rigless programs include perforating, stimulating, CTU N2 Lifting, Well Testing, Horizontal PLT, etc.
- Participate in complicate activities discussion and provide feasible and constructive solutions such as well killing, fishing, etc
- Emergency Response
- Participate in site Emergency Response activities
- Ensure role in incident response as per the Emergency Response Manual
- Initiate and participate in Site Emergency Drills to raise awareness of Emergency Response procedures, and conduct team debriefs on conclusion of the drills
- WellWork Budget and Expenditures
- Coordinate or participate in development and stewardship of Well Work Capital Expenses (Capex) and Operating Expense (Opex) annual work plan and budget
- On-going stewardship of Capex and Opex jobs and spending to ensure WellWork Rig and Rigless job spending is within approved budgets
- Work Interfaces
- Interface with WellWork Operations group for rig and rigless program execution
- Interface with Subsurface Technical groups – Reservoir & Geoscience
- Interface with WellWork Contractors (Oiltech, Halliburton, Schlumberger, Baker, Weatherford, Basra Oil Company, Iraq Drilling Company, etc.)
- Interfaces with other FOD Departments (Procurement, Materials and Warehouse, Accounting/Finance, Surface Project Engineering, Maintenance, Production Operations
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 10-15 year experience in Completion and Workover activities (Rig & Rigless)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced English speaking and writing skills as well as Arabic if possible
- Mentoring and coaching local National engineers
- Mechanical Engineering skills for wellheads and downhole completions equipment
- Well Control certification, able to determine wellbore capacity calculations
- Analytical skills / problem solving. Highly organized and able to multi task
