Job Overview

Main Purpose:
Implement gynecological and obstetrician procedures, performing any other prior treatment re- quired, during or immediately after a woman has given birth in order to improve women’s repro-ductive health and to reduce pregnancy, delivery and neonatology risks. This will be done in ac-cordance with MSF policies, protocols and universal hygiene standards and in multidisciplinary collaboration with other medical doctors and midwife services.
Accountabilities
• Provide health care related to gynecology and obstetrics to patients, including prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensure the implementation of MSF clinical policies, tools, guidelines and protocols related to gynecology and obstetrics in order to minimize clinical risk and to extend best reproductive practices.
MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities
• Manage and Supervise Laboring, sick pregnant, PNC mothers together with FP Complications, new-burns and follow the management of admitted cases according to MSF case management guideline and protocols
• Supervise and manage obstetric complications cases, and arrange for referral according to MSF referral criteria and follow the feedback
• Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care, Diagnosis ,admissions and referral of cases.
• Provide and supervise the implementation of MSF SRH clinical policies, tools, guidelines and protocols in order to minimize clinical risk.

• Provide technical support for the maternity staffs (OPD & IPD) on the need of consultations and follow up of labour & delivery admitted cases follow up together ANC& PNC mothers.
• Identify staff skill gaps of maternity team and providing technical support through capacity building activities.
• Perform POCUS examination for mothers in need and capacity building of the staffs as needed.
• Communicate with patients in appropriate manner and keeping confidentiality.
• Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with co-workers, administrators, and non administrative staff members of the Organization
• Assist and participate on monthly duty roster preparation of genes and attending regular meeting.

Requirements
• Education:
Gynecology specialist (board or diploma)
Gynecology senior house officer (permanent)
Gynecology practitioner
• Experience:
Essential at least 2-year certified work experience in Gynecology
Desirable previous experience with MSF or other NGO’s in developing countries
• Languages:
Excellent command of English
• Knowledge
Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet)
