Job Overview

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Erbil city.

Working Schedule: 5 Days/ Week, 9 Hours/Day



The Payroll Specialist will be responsible to execute all payroll related tasks, including collecting and reviewing employee information and working hours, calculating wages, preparing and processing employee payments, and maintaining accurate payroll records. Successful candidate should be able to investigate and resolve payroll issues and ensure strict compliance with company and regulatory standards. An outstanding payroll specialist should also have excellent people skills and a high numerical aptitude.



  • Determine the right payroll amount by gathering information on hours worked for each employee, calculating overtime, bonuses, deductions etc.
  • Prepare and process employee payments, maintain accurate payroll records.
  • Process social security, taxes and payment of employee benefits.
  • Keep track of rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve concerns.
  • Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees.
  • Detect and process issues with uncollected payroll.
  • Prepare weekly reports for senior management and finance manager.
  • Track daily payroll cost incorporated with the operations to compile key operational payroll metrics and dashboards.
  • Prepare periodic payroll reconciliation and submit reports to the finance manager for review and auditing purposes.
  • Acquiring all necessary signatures to distribute payroll.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous working experience in Payroll or a similar role for 2 – 3 years.
  • Fluent in Kurdish, Excellent level of English and Arabic.
  • In-depth knowledge of general accounting principles and payroll best practices.
  • Well-versed in MS Office, very good knowledge in accounting software.
  • Great attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Strong problem solver with the ability to work proactively and well under pressure.
  • Positive working attitude, demonstrate good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
