RESPONSIBILITIES

Wood is currently looking for Senior Contract Advisor to support our team in Iraq/Basra rotational 5×3

  • Overview of Responsibilities
  • An integral member of the project leadership team, providing commercial insights that contribute to the strategic direction and overall health of the contract and relationship with business partners and stakeholders.
  • Serve as subject matter expert, provide guidance on award management during implementation to ensure compliance with client requirements and mitigates common contract management risks, such as financial, legal, and security risks.
  • Formulates, negotiates, establishes, and administers complex, integrated, high-value contractual arrangements and procurement proposals for a range of projects in oil & gas industry.
  • Managing the contract throughout lifecycle, including but not limited to: draft, modification, execution amendments, contract renewal and dispute resolution.
  • Dissemination of contract documents to the appropriate parties, externally and internally
  • Maintenance of a centralized file, storage and documentation system for all contract related material.
  • Ensures adequate compliances through knowledge and adherence to internal processes and management practices.
  • Ensure compliance with management of vital records and relevant correspondence to support reporting, contract audit, claims and litigations, and contract close out

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
  • 15+ years experience in handling commercial contracts in the oil and gas industry
  • Communicates effectively and has strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong grasp of procedural requirements & necessity of providing an Audit Trail for Management purposes
  • A history of working in a complex cross-functional business environment
  • Familiarization with dispute resolution procedures and administration
  • Kowledge of all federal, state, and local business laws and regulations and company policies
  • Track record of successful close-out of contracts and project completion in oil & gas industry.
  • Proactive identification of internal and external business risks and dispute resolutions without adverse impact to project progress and completion.
  • Effective business relationship with all stakeholders.
