Role Purpose
Zain Iraq Is Actively recruiting to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer to enhance system reliability, security, and performance through automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in networking, security, containerization, and Linux-based infrastructure to support microservices and cloud-native applications.
Key Accountabilities
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, identifying root causes efficiently.
- Implement and manage secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure.
- Expertly configure and optimize GNU/Linux (RedHat), including SELinux, Firewalld, systemd, and filesystems.
- Work with microservices architectures, containerization (Podman/Docker), and orchestration tools.
- Automate infrastructure management using Bash, Python, and scripting.
- Manage backup, archiving, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth CI/CD pipeline operations.
- Stay updated with industry trends and DevOps best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Educational Qualifications and Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
Experience
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or cloud infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of networking, security, and containerization technologies.
- Hands-on experience with automation, scripting, and infrastructure as code.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus.
