Job Overview
- Develop or revise project-specific communication strategy, plans and activities.
- In collaboration with the key project stakeholders, organize and coordinate public social marketing campaigns and outreach activities.
- Work with, and develop the capacities of, key project stakeholders to establish a strategy for developing and implementing key messages, outreach methods, and awareness activities, including social media campaigns and community awareness sessions.
- Identify target audiences and tailor campaign messaging and tactics accordingly.
- Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies as needed to optimize results.
- In collaboration with project stakeholders, plan, contribute and coordinate content and activities for the TAWASOL social media channels.
- Generate, edit, publish and share content (original text, images, video) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
- Establish, manage, and maintain TAWASOL social media pages to increase project and organization visibility.
- Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
- Ensure that all communications and branding of publications, printed materials, activities, and events are in line with Global Affairs Canada and consortium partners requirements
- Establish and manage relationships with local media, as well as monitor and analyze local press for issues of interest to the project.
- Contribute to the preparation of project reports, success stories, case studies, and annual reports.
- Manage internal and external communication formats and provide guidance to the department on corporate communication: Email signatures, email correspondence, business correspondence.
- Respond to WUSC-Canada requests to support the development of various communications products.
- Produce a certain number of success stories (about partner organizations and individual beneficiaries).
